Opponents Besiktas, Liverpool Still Not Reinforced Gerrard
Liverpool – Steven Gerrard is still not going to play as Liverpool face Besiktas in the last 32 of the Europa League. Conditions captain ‘The Red’ was not improved and still be monitored daily.
Gerrard has been sidelined since Liverpool beat Tottenham Hotspur last week in which the player was 34 years Dejan Lovren replaced midway through the second.
The hamstring problem is likely to make Gerrard pulled over at least three weeks. The injury is the second time this season Gerrard suffered.
Liverpool itself will face the crucial match Besiktas in the last 32 of the Europa League, where they host the first Anfield on Friday (20/2) pm dawn tomorrow before next week’s trip to Istanbul.
The presence of Gerrard who is the club’s top scorer this season with 11 goals in all competitions obviously highly anticipated. But unfortunately Gerrard has not recovered fully to be played in the near future.
“He has not been able to play tomorrow, and we just have to monitor the condition of Steven every day,” said the Liverpool manager, Brendan Rodgers, as quoted by Soccernet.
